BODHISATTVA is the card for today. Whether you consider it an archetype or actual beings, it is a high card for today. A BODHISATTVA has promised not to go to Heaven until everyone goes. They typically choose challenging lives so they can clear whole patterns for the collective mind of humanity. The vow of the BODHISATTVA is as follows:
Deluding passions are inexhaustible. I vow to extinguish them all.
Sentient beings are as numerous as grains of sand. I vow to save them all.
The truth is impossible to teach.I vow to teach it.
The way of the Buddha is impossible to attain. I vow to attain it.
